Mission Statement

War-Torn Books is looking to publishing one book every few years that captures the toll of war as it reverberates across society and down through generations. We hope to give voice to those authors committed to crafting the narratives of our time—authors whose work reminds us that the tragedy and trauma of war and conflict endure long after they fade from the public consciousness.

A Shared Commitment

In addition, it is our goal to shine a spotlight on the works of other authors, educators, publishers, bloggers and organizations committed to the task of rendering these important narratives into the public sphere.  It is an attempt to highlight the tiresome and fearless work necessary to foster important dialogues, enhance our understanding, and to bridge the military-civilian divide.
